Our mission is to help Subway® Franchisees be more profitable and competitive – today and for the future.

Leadership Team

IPC Europe‘s leadership team has a wealth of experience from working within the purchasing, supply chain, finance, marketing and business solutions sectors in a range of roles.

With guidance from our Board of Directors, the leadership team ensures that IPC Europe continues to deliver the products, services and business solutions that ensure Subway® Franchisees are as profitable and competitive as possible.

  • Bryan Griffiths
    CEO and Company Director

As CEO of IPC Europe, Bryan leads the business in the supply of purchasing, supply chain, product management and restaurant services to Subway® stores across Europe. Since he joined in 2003, he has been part of the European leadership team supporting the growth of the brand to its current position of over 5000 restaurants across 35 European markets. He also sits on a global leadership team with sister IPCs (Independent Purchasing Companies), supporting the brand worldwide through global sourcing and supply chain strategies, and technology initiatives.

Prior to Subway®, Bryan held senior Supply Chain and Purchasing roles at J Sainsbury PLC where he was responsible for the profitability of various food and drink categories; at Whitbread PLC where he managed the Food Purchasing team; and at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he led supply chain initiatives within the retail consulting practice.

  • Mike Attwood
    Purchasing and Supply Chain Director

Mike joined IPC Europe as Purchasing Director in 2008, following a long and distinguished career at J Sainsbury PLC, a leading UK supermarket retailer. Mike spent more than 25 years in senior purchasing, sourcing, management and trading roles across the retail product spectrum, including specific responsibility for cost reduction programmes and regional sourcing of fresh produce from six continents.

The wealth of knowledge and experience which Mike has brought to IPC Europe continues to deliver huge benefit to Franchisees – especially when it comes to working the global markets. Mike continues to shape IPC Europe’s purchasing and contingency strategy planning in the areas of currency and commodity market fluctuations, which have become increasingly critical to Subway® Franchisees as the volume and range of product required across Europe grows.

Richard has been with IPC Europe since January 2012 following his role in the Purchasing Graduate Scheme at Ford Motor Company where he completed his MBA, and seven years in a variety of senior Purchasing and Commercial roles at Greencore Northampton, a major provider of sandwiches and chilled food to UK retail, particularly Marks & Spencer.

Richard and his team work with our Subway® partners on commodity and currency risk management, category management and supplier relationship management, contingency and capacity planning and supply chain traceability to find the best balance between global and local sourcing and ensure the delivery of food and packaging products to Franchisees.

  • Simon Aldred
